I’d like to say I live by that. Some days I do.
Other days, I catch myself defending an idea simply because it’s mine. I haven’t checked whether it still makes sense. I just remember being quite convincing about it once. Or thinking I was.
Photography gives me plenty of practice. I can go to bed pleased with a picture, then open it the next morning and wonder what I saw in it. There’s usually something there, but perhaps not enough. That’s the bit I find difficult.
I leave it in the folder a little longer, though. You know. Just in case.
